Since 1977
Iitin Kymppikoneistus OY
Iitin Kymppikoneistus Oy is a distinguished Finnish engineering firm with a longstanding legacy.
Originally founded by Tuomo Peltola as a one-person workshop, IKK has evolved into a leader in green technology innovation.
Starting in the 1970s, Peltola embarked on his entrepreneurial journey in the machine shop sector. Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, Iitin Kymppikoneistus established itself as a key player in both Finnish and international machine shop procurement. This period marked the beginning of IKK’s strategic shift towards a focus on innovation.
One of IKK’s most notable achievements is the development of cutting-edge linear electric motor technology. In 2018, IKK, in collaboration with other key stakeholders, founded Lekatech Oy. This venture successfully commercialized an electric hammer based on the new technology. In August 2024, Lekatech was acquired by Normet Group.
Currently, Iitin Kymppikoneistus continues to play a significant role in advancing green electrification projects. Operating under the name IKK Innovations, the company remains both a key investor and a leader in technology development.
